Lecture in Academia Electronica is being done live by voice transmission from microphone. We also recommend using headphones to minimize possible reverb from speakers. To start voice transmission, click on microphone icon “Speak” on the lower part of Second Life app window. When speaking, the voice propagation indicator will be shown over the avatar.
Scholars and speaker can use local chat. It can be used to paste links to content, extend thoughts and/or comments. Important, it also can be used to do the lecture if scholars cannot access voice chat (not good place or hearing disability).
During lecture speaker can use screen to show presentation. In Academia Electronica lecture halls there are different ones:
- Standard (drag and drop image)
- Standard with web browser fuctionality
- Multimedia with ability to screenshare presentation via streaming platform
